Editorial Board Responsibilities
The editorial board plays a vital role in shaping the vision, integrity, and quality of the journal. Members are entrusted with the following key responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning: Contribute to the journal’s editorial vision, thematic priorities, and long-term development, including special issues and emerging topics in medicine.
- Peer Review: Review submitted manuscripts for quality and relevance to the journal’s scope and help build a network of other qualified reviewers.
- Editorial Decision-Making: Participate in decisions regarding acceptance, revision, or rejection of manuscripts, especially those involving complex ethical or scientific considerations.
- Ethical Governance: Ensure adherence to ethical publishing practices, including preventing conflicts of interest and upholding academic integrity.
- Outreach and Advocacy: Act as ambassador for the journal by endorsing the publication to colleagues and encouraging submissions. Represent the journal at meetings and through peer networks to expand its visibility and influence.
